Abstract: The production of combustible gas from sawdust using microwave pyrolysis at a low-temperature of 450-600 ℃ was carried out. Variation of the gases composition was analyzed during the pyrolysis process. The effects of pyrolysis temperature, different kinds of catalysts, and different amounts of K2CO3 on the changes of components in combustible gas were studied. The results showed that under the conditions of pyrolysis temperature 550 ℃ and 20% amounts of K2CO3, the maximum yield of combustible gas was 62.65% with low heating value (LHV) of 14.05 MJ/m3. The combustible gas with high H/C ratio could be obtained under the catalysis of K2CO3.
