Abstract: TiO2-Al2O3 composite carrier were prepared by sol-gel method, using ultrasound-assisted impregnation supporting Ni to prepare Ni/TiO2-Al2O3 catalyst. The catalyst was used in the reaction of hydrogenation of turpentine. The suitable conditions of catalyst preparation and turpentine hydrogenation reactions were investigated. The results showed that the highest performance conditions for the preparation of Ni/TiO2-Al2O3 catalyst were the Ti-Al molar ratio of composite carrier 0.4, carrier calcination temperature 550℃, ultrasonic power 280 W, immersion solution concentration 0.5 mol/L and ultrasonic time 2 h. The best conditions for hydrogenation reaction were time 140 min, pressure 4.5 MPa, temperature 150℃, and the dosage of catalyst was equal to 5% of turpentine quality.Under these conditions, the conversion rate of α-pinene was 97.27%, the selectivity of cis-pinane was 96.15%, and the yield of cis-pinane was 93.52%.
