STUDIES ON CATALYTIC EFFECTS OF FAUJUSITE IN FINE ORGANIC SYNTHESIS——Kinetics Characteristics of α-Pinene Isomerization Catalyzed by DUSY

Abstract: Kinetics characteristics of α-pinene isomerization catalyzed by dealuminated USY(DUSY) was studied.The effect of silica/alumina ratio of the catalyst and reaction conditions on conversion and product distributions were also investigated.The kinetics studies show that isomerization of α-pinene in tetrahydrofuran over DUSY-1 catalyst (silica/alumina ratio 7.41) obeys kinetics rule of the pseudo-first order reaction.The activation energy calculated from least square method is 144.3kJ/mol.
