STUDY ON ALKOXYLATION OF α-PINENE CATALYZED BY DEALUMINATED USY ZEOLITE MOLECULAR SIEVE

Abstract: Experiments on alkoxylation of α-pinene with C1~C4 alcohols catalyzed by dealuminated USY(SiO2/Al2O3=10.99)zeolite molecular sieve were conducted.Main adducts in the reaction were α-terpinyl ether and bornyl ether,while main isomeric product was dipentene. Alcohol structure and reaction time have definite influence to selectivity of alkoxylation.Effects of solvent and temperature were also remarkable to methoxylation.
