Abstract: A head-to-head, end-to-end structural polyamideimide(PAI)baking paint was synthesized from the reaction of dimaleopimaric acid with di isocyanates, and modified by means of copolymerization with dihydric alcohol to prepare poly(urethane-amideimide)(PUAI)baking paint.The PAI and PUAI was characterized by IR and TG.The results showed that PUAI baking paint possesses both excellent mechanical properties and thermostability, which could be used as F grade insulting varnish.
