Abstract: The ethanol extract from bulbs of Lilium brownii var. colchesteri was separated and purified by combination of liquid liquid extraction, AB-8 porous resin absorption,step sedimentation with ether acetone and HPLC preparation. Two steroidal saponins are screened by ESI-MS and their structures are identified by spectroscopic means.
