Study on Synthesis and Properties of Biodiesel Oil from Rosin

Abstract: Synthesis technology of biodiesel oil from rosin was studied, and its combustion properties were analyzed. The result showed that liquid abietane could be synthesized from rosin under the condition of reaction temperature 270℃,reaction time 2 h and catalyst dosage 10%. Through scientific prescription, the biodiesel oil from abietane exhibited an hexadecane number of 52 and sulfur content of 0.004% which meet the required standard.The study has profound practical significance of application.
