Abstract: The preparation method and characteristics of urushiol SiSn polymer,which was formed by reacting urushiol with SiCl₄ and SnCl₄,have been studied.IR results show that Si-O and Sn-O bonds exist in urushiol group of the product.MS results show that z/e is 461,corresponding to the molecular fragments C₂₁H₃₀O₂SiSn.The submicron and nanometer particles were observed from SEM.DMTA and thermal spectral prove that the thermal stability of the product is higher than that of Chinese lacquer.Temperature of 50% weight loss is about 55℃.Modulo E′is above 98.6MPa at 20～38℃.The product has excellent anti corrosive properties.It can be moulded by thermal pressing or film coated to form a kind of material with properties of anticorrosion and heat resistance.
