Abstract: The chemical constituents of the volatile oil from the leaves of Ficus auriculata Lour were studied. The volatile oil from the leaves of F. auriculata lour was extracted by steam distillation. The components of the volatile oil were separated and identified by GC-MS. Twenty-eight components were identified from F. auriculata Lour. They accounted for 91.27% of the total peak area. The main components were 4-phenylmethyl-pyridine (25.07%), dibutyl phthalate (17.26%), phytol (11.58%), 3β-lup-20(29)-en-3-ol-acetate (9.20%) and indol (9.16%). The main component of volatile oil from the leaves of Ficus auriculata Lour is 4-phenylmethyl-pyridine.
