The Impacts of Several Main Waterborne Preservative Treated Wood on the Environmental Safety

Abstract: The impact of the alternatives of chromated copper arsenate (CCA) treated wood including ammoniacal copper zinc arsenate (ACZA), ammoniacal copper arsenate (ACA), acid copper chromate (ACC), alkaline copper quat type (ACQ-B, ACQ-C, ACQ-D), ammoniacal copper citrate (CC), copper azole (CBA-A, CA-B) and alkyl ammonium compound (AAC) treated wood in service on environmental safety have been summarized. The impact of the main elements copper, zinc, and fluorine on the environmental safety are introduced,too.
