A NEW ANGULAR FURANOFLAVONOL RHAMNOSIDE FROM SEEDS OF ZIZIPHUS JUJUBA VAR. SPINOSA(BUNGE) HU

Abstract: A new flavonol rhamnoside was isolated from the seeds of Ziziphus jujuba var. spinosa(Bunge) Hu.The process was as follows:70% EtOH extract of the seeds of this plant was successively partitioned with petroleum ether,ethyl acetate and n-BuOH;then the ethyl acetate fraction was subjected to silica gel column chromatography followed by Sephadex LH 20 column chromatography,to afford the compound.On the basis of spectral analysis and acid hydro-(lysis),the structure was confirmed to be an angular furanoflavonol rhamnoside,which is a novel compound,named (spinorhamnoside).
