Abstract: Factors affecting colour deepening of urushi wax were discussed from the aspects of its chemical constitution and processing technology.Effects of pigment and protein impurities and fatty acid on colour of urushi wax were discussed in detail.It was indicated that the essential reason leading to deep colour of urushi wax was the processing technology.Solutions of the problem were pointed out as well.
