Abstract: Camphene reacted with Cp2Zr(H)Cl(Cp=η5-C5H5 )and CO to form acylzirconocene chloride derivative, which was trapped with water, aryl halides and arylsulfenyl chlorides to give aldehyde, ketones and thioesters respectively.Camphene reacted with Cp2Zr(H)Cl in THF to give organozirconium(Ⅳ)complex, which was trapped with benzoyl chloride in the presence of CuI to give ketone 8a.

Key words: camphene, hydrozirconation, aldehyde, ketone, thioester
