Abstract: Hydration of α-pinene catalyzed by dealuminated ultrastable Y zeolite molecular sieve(DUSY)was studied.Effects of SiO2/Al2O3 ratio,solvent,reactants ratio and amount of catalyst on the hydration were investigated.Results show that with catalyst DUSY-5 of high SiO2/Al2O3 ratio and acetic acid as solvent at 70℃ for 7h,conversion of α-pinene is 95.04% at total selectivity of hydration 60.59% and α terpineol selectivity 35.51%.
