Abstract: According to their different structures and properties, the main toxic substances of Amanita are cyclopeptides that are classified into three toxicological compounds:amatoxins, phallotoxins and virotoxins. These toxic peptides, as newfashioned resources, can be applied widely in many research fields:single inhibition of mRNA synthesis in eukaryote, localization of genes in different cells and tissues, expression and control of gene, identification of cell membrane transport system, study on cell structure and function and research in the field of tumor and virus. At the same time, the derivatives and analogues of wide cytotoxic cyclopeptides have their own chemical and biological properties. In this paper, advances in the studies on toxins, such as distribution and examination of polypeptides, chemical structure and character, kinetics and toxicology of Amanita toxic peptides, clinical symptom and integrated utilizations were summarized and reviewed.
