Abstract: The extraction and separation techniques of oligoprocyanidins (OPC) from the root of wild Sanguisorba officinalis Linn. in Jilin were studied. The effects of solvent concentration, particle size, ratio of sample to solvent and extraction temperature, extraction time and extraction times on the yield of oligoprocyanidins were studied. The optimal extraction conditions are as follows: extraction solvent of 60% (volume fraction) alcohol solution, particle size 0.25-0.42 mm, ratio of sample to solvent 1:12(g:mL), extraction temperature 50℃, extraction times 4, 1 h once. The concentrated extraction liquid was added with definite amount of concentrated NaCl solution, then centrifuged under low temperature. The solution was extracted with double amounts of ethyl acetate for three times, to obtain the purified extract, in which the amount of oligoprocyanidins was 56.86%. The yield of oligoprocyanidins based on the bone-dried raw material is 3.42%.
