Study on Induction Mechanism of Cellulase Production by Two Bacilli

Abstract

Abstract: The induction of cellulase by two bacilli was studied by measuring cellulase activities under the conditions of different carbon sources. The results indicated that cellulase could be induced by monosaccharide and disaccharide containing reducing group, while it couldn't be induced by cellulose as sole carbon source, and the expression of cellulase components was synergistic. Based on these results, the mechanism of cellulase production by two bacilli was supposed.
